For about 6 months now I have been wanting to get a drone. It all started when I was sick back in February and while in bed watched a lot of videos on YouTube. I came across amazing videos of drones being flown across mountain ridges and old towns.
The most common one out there I keep seeing is the DJI Phantom 3, however it is around $1500.
The guy next door owns a DJI Inspire and that is around $4500!
That seems a bit much and knowing me I will most likely get it destroyed pretty soon.
Then last week my father told me there is a special at the local Supermarket of all places. The Cost is $100! It is beginner friendly with propeller guards.
After doing a bit of digging online I found that they are just re-branding the Syma X5C-1.

Found an online retailer that sells it for $20 less and offers free delivery! Sold!
Delivery should take around a week. I can not wait for it to arrive. Sure hope it arrives before I head off to Thailand. If it fits in my bag I will bring it for sure.
I am not expecting too much. For $80 I am not expecting the camera to be anywhere near as food as the footage from my GoPro Hero 4 Silver. Also it will be interesting to see how stable the image is. As far as I can see there is no stabilization gimbals to prevent the on-board camera from shaking.
If you would like to look at some of the other equipment I use while out and about you can take a look at my gear section.
