What Time Does Pratunam Market Open:
This place open at 4:30 and and closes at around midnight.
Pratunam Market Prices:
So what are the prices like here? As always it depends. Sampeng market will have cheaper prices then here. Pratunam is cheaper then JJ Weekend Market and a lot cheaper then the MBK mall.
Purchasing clothes street side from the makeshift stalls will be cheaper then the indoor airconditioned mall buildings.
Some of the best prices can be had when purchasing in bulk in the early hours of the morning. Around 4:30 am all along the street between the Baiyoke Suite and the Baiyoke Tower.
Pratunam Food Market:
Where to go for street food? This area is fantastic for street food.
Probably the highest concentration is all along Soi Saengkarn. This soi is absolutly jam packed with street food carts. This is a street food lovers dream it has everything. There is not enough room on Soi Saengkarn so it also spills over onto the adjacent street.
Another good area is all along Petchaburi Soi 19 both South and North. The north side is a lot cheaper. Be careful of pop up restaurants near the Phetchaburi Rd end. It is a bank by day, clothes shop in the late afternoon then an horrendously overpriced pop up restaurant in the evening.
The intersections of Phetchaburi Rd and Phetchaburi Soi 11, 13, 15, 17, 19; and 21 usually also have a good few street carts parked offering delicious and inexpensive street food.
Outside Pantip Plaza use to be a good place pre 2016. Now days there are no street food vendors to be seen. Your best bet is to walk east along Phetchaburi Rd. Inspect the intersections of Phetchaburi Rd and Petchaburi Soi 22 and the next unnamed Soi.
There is also the odd mobile street food vendor traveling up and down Soi Petchaburi 19 and 21. However there Soi can get so over crowded. People are bulk shopping wheeling their trolleys around. Shoppers stopping to look. Delivery happening by motorbike. Come fore for shopping but not for food.
Where to go for Clothes:
All the square area comprising of the streets between the eastern side Soi Phetchaburi 19 and Ratchaprarop Rd. Between Petchburi Road and Soi Ratchaprarop 3.
The south eastern end of Petchburi Road. You will find Platinum Fashion Mall and Grand Diamond Plaza.
