Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi Airport Taxi Service 1000 Bhat

Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi Airport Taxi Service for ฿1000 is a pretty good deal.
Considering only two weeks earlier a meter Taxi from Pratunam Bangkok to Pattaya cost ฿1301 on the meter + ฿60 + ฿25  Total ฿1386

Previously a service from the corner of LK Metro and Soi Diana was used.
However they have raised the price 10% and now costs ฿1100 unacceptable! Immediately began a mission to find a service for ฿1000 or less.

Minutes later having a ฿79 English breakfast at Jo Restaurant on Pattayasaisong Soi 11 aka Soi Honey. There was a sign under the free WiFi saying Taxi Airport ฿1000
The waitress said the journey takes about 1 hour and a half.
The flight leaves at 9pm. She suggested being picked  up at 7pm! + 1.5 hours = 8:30 PM that would leave 30 minutes to check in, passport control etc? She still thought this would work.

Decided to be far more conservative and decided on a 4:30 pm pickup.

Will also time the journey so will have a better idea next time.

The taxi driver arrived 10 minutes early for pickup.

The car was nice and big Toyota something.

The entire journey took exactly 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to Suvarnabhumi. Just as the waitress had predicted.

All tolls were included in the ฿1000.

Update: used this service again in April 2017 and the price is still the same. Left at 17:00 on a Thursday and it again took 1 hour and 30 minutes almost to the minute. The car was again very nice. The same car you would expect to pay 2500 if taken from the Airport private car desk.

WHIBT has no problem recommending this service based on the one time it was used to get to the Bangkok airport from Central Pattaya.
