Pantip Plazza Bangkok, Sometimes misspent as Panthip Plaza.
Sometimes referred to as Pantip Mall Bangkok is the go to place for all your IT,
Computer, Mobile Phone, Gadget needs. This is an IT equipment, mobile phones ,tablets and gadgets Super Store.
Never have I seen as many Technology shops in the one place.

What Can You Buy at Pantip?

Here you can buy original phones, fake phones, laptops, tablets, accessories, cables, monitors, hard drives, SIM cards, LEDs, holders, cases, flashing lights. If you are looking for something IT related and you cant find it here chances are you will not find it anywhere.

Almost every time I come here I pick up a laptop. You can get a ฿550 Bhat tax rebate after you pass immigration on your way home.

There are 6 level packed with shops . As you walk in the front doors and head towards the back there are even more shops. I always get lost at this part. Too many shiny objects and often find my self lost and walking around in circles.

How to get there?

Catch the BTS Sky Train to either BTS Chit Lom (ชิดลม) Stop ID: E1
and walk along the Sky Walk and Gaysorn Village walk.
Or
Ratchathewi BTS Station and either

Walk
Get a motorbike taxi for ฿30 Bhat.

Feeling Hungry?

No problem they have a couple of indoor food courts.
Here you can buy almost any food ranging from fried chicken to rice etc.

Unfortunately as per the above video. This super convenient array of street food vendors
lines up outside is no longer a reality.

The last 10 or so times I have been to Pantip they have been absent.
Previously the best idea was to just head outside the front door.

There was always a line of street food carts about 20 or so. The food was a lot cheaper.
In the order of ฿40 Baht per meal and it tastes a lot better.

These days I often find my self popping outside every hour of so for a quick snack and a drink.
I head down to Phetchaburi 19(เพชรบุรี 19) there are plenty of street food shops along the western side (Left side in video below) of the soi.

Some days inside Pantip they go a bit overboard with the air-con and leave it on arctic setting.
15 minute snack and defrost breaks are recommended.

Have a Broken Computer?

Bring it along. There are plenty of repair shops along the back of the mall

The Footbridge

There is a footbridge just outside of the Plaza. It allows you to cross over
Phetchaburi Road (ถนน เพชรบุรี) without out being hit by a car.

It also will lead you right into the 2nd floor of Pantip.
Do not even try crossing the road Bangkok traffic is crazy.
