Interesting Info

Its the southern hemisphere’s only big observation wheel. Standing 120 Meters tall. A single ride takes about 30 minutes and provides views up to 40 km away.

Some History

Construction began in 2006. It opened in 2008 two years behind schedule. Was closed in January 2009, only 40 days after opening.  After massive 3 meter cracks appeared in the structure. It was since had numerous problems and has been closed many times. It seems to be out of order more often then not.
