So it is that time of year again when my end of year trip is fast approaching and since I plan on staying in Thailand for 40 days and 40 nights the 30 day VISA on arrival just wont cut it.
My options are
- Leave Thailand after 30 days
- Return by air and be granted a further 30 days.
- Return by land and be granted an additional 14 days.
- Apply for a VISA extension in Thailand and blow a whole day at the immigration office over there.
- Apply for a 60 day VISA before I leave from Australia.
I have decide to go with option 3.
All you need to do is fill out this form and head on over to the

Get off at tram stop number 26 Moubray Street.
Now look for Building 566 ” The Jewel” pictured below.
The Consulate is located in suite 301. Just get the elevator up to the 3rd floor and turn left once you get off.
The entrance should look something like the picture below. you really can not miss it.
You will need
- Current valid passport with at least 6 months left before it expires.
- Two passport sized photos.
- $45
- The flight number of your departing flight
If you do not have passport sized photos handy there is a conveniently overpriced passport photo service available in the gift-shop downstairs on the ground floor. $15 for 4 Photos. (Unfortunately the conveniently overpriced shop has closed down)
They will keep your passport for two business days and will call you on the number provided on the application once it is ready .
