Chiang Mai to Phrae by Bus

The buses are air conditioned, and you do get to choose your seat.

As soon as you arrive go to the machine press the button and get a waiting number printed out.
It is super obvious what counter to go to as it is all coloured green and it is by far the busiest.

I arrived at around 12 noon on a Sunday and my number was about 50th in the queue it took about 20 minutes.

I wanted to catch the 12:30 but it was sold out! and so were the next two buses.

I ended up getting the 16:15.

Lesson Learned

Arrive at least 2.5 hour prior.
