Buy Almost Anything You Need.
I am amazed at just how many “things” they sell there. Apart from the obvious, water, drinks, snacks, alcohol, and cigarettes. You can also find random but useful products. Such as, phone credit, padlocks, flip flops, candles, washing powder, USB cable, memory cards etc.
They are Everywhere
It is not too uncommon to see two or three 7 elevens in very close proximity of each other. One 7 eleven, two shops down another. Across the road another.
Cheapest Prices
9 times out of 10 7 eleven will have the cheapest price. In Australia 7 elevens prices are hideously expensive. Four or five times more then a supermarket. On my first trip to Thailand I saw 7 eleven and though ha, I do not want to get ripped off.
Where is a supermarket? 2 km round trip later I return to the hotel. My friends had been lazy and it had paid off. I paid more for everything from the supermarket.
Open All the Time
As per any country 7 eleven in Thailand are open 24 hours 7 days a week. New years, Songkran any day of the year its open.
Ding Dong, Ding Dong Sound
What would 7 eleven be without that familiar sound. That sound that plays each and every time someone walks through the door.
I don’t know how the workers cope with hearing it every couple of seconds.
